About Me

 

After 22 years of dedicated service, I retired from the Military in 2017, having served both on Active Duty and in the District of Columbia Army National Guard. Throughout my military career, which included deployments to Kuwait, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas in response to 9/11, I focused on Food Service and Operations, ultimately retiring as a Sergeant First Class.

 With multiple deployments while on active and inactive duty my love for nutrition and food  service grew.

Reflecting on life's revelations led me to began building a business , based off that love for cooking and service.

 

That Business became SmokeRing LLC®. 

 

In 2020, after a few wins I stopped and closed down the Business. One year later understood what was happening and  I  rebranded as SmokeRing Grill & BBQ LLC®. While nutrition had always been a part of my career, I wanted to create a business that not only served great food but also promoted a healthy lifestyle. My background in Nutrition Science and Nutrition Education, along with being a ServSafe Instructor/Proctor, uniquely positioned me to do so.

 

In 2023, facing personal and professional challenges, including a battle with Breast Cancer, demotion, and the loss of my mother, I turned to my faith for strength. These experiences inspired me to develop MsLewisOnTheGrill™ Seasoning Blends and soon-to-be sauces. These products, born out of adversity, embody the health, nutrition, and flavor profiles that set my business apart.
